課程概述	本課程的主要方向在於，為修習專題討論的學生，提供一個從事研究發展的理解。本專題討論的主要題目為「科學理性」其教學內容分為四個方向：第一、從歷史的角度，檢視「科學理性」的發展動機以及其日後所面對的困難。第二、從最根本的邏輯基本定律裡，介紹幾種有關「科學理性」的論證。第三、從實際的日常用語中，討論「科學理性」發生的可能性與解決之道。第四、從「實際」的發展過程中，論證「科學理性」在日常生活中的意義。
課程目標	促使學習學生能夠透過「科學理性」的發展歷史、建構邏輯與實際成就三方面，詮釋科學的本質。
課程要求	這位同學必須在課前閱讀所印發之講義與指定的書籍外，還必須踴躍在課堂中發問與討論。另外，修課同學也應當針對所有文章後所附帶之書目，自行視修課內容需要，參考閱讀。
